About us

A pharmacy first, a website second

Plenty of online clinics are marketing companies that hand your order to a pharmacy you never hear from. We are the pharmacy. The people who check your prescription are the people who pack the box.

How we think about this

Men are famously bad at going to the doctor. The conditions we treat are exactly the ones people put off — not because they're trivial, but because they're awkward. Taking the awkwardness out is genuinely useful, and that's what an online consultation does well.

What it does badly, if you let it, is skip the bit where someone asks difficult questions. So our consultations are longer than they need to be commercially. They ask about your heart, your medication and your mental health, and a meaningful number of them end with us saying no. Erectile dysfunction in particular is often the first sign of cardiovascular disease, and a service that just ships tablets is missing the most important thing it could tell you.

We would rather lose a sale than be the reason someone missed something.

How a decision gets made

Automated checks never approve anything

Our triage engine can stop a consultation, and it can flag things for attention. It cannot approve. Only a prescriber does that.

Prescribers work independently

They are registered with their own professional body and are paid for reviewing consultations, not for approving them. Declining costs them nothing.

A pharmacist checks everything again

Before anything is dispensed, a registered pharmacist carries out a clinical check and an accuracy check. They can and do query prescriptions.

Repeats are not automatic

Before each repeat delivery we ask you to confirm nothing has changed. If anything has, it goes back to a prescriber rather than straight to the bench.
